Start your engines. "Top Gear" hosts are coming to Amazon.
Jeremy Clarkson will premiere a new car show on Amazon Prime following his exit from the BBC series earlier this year. The controversial host will premiere bring along his former colleagues James May and Richard Hammond for the show that will premiere in 2016.
"I'm very excited to announce that Hammond, May and I have signed a deal with @AmazonVideo," the 55-year-old host tweeted on Thursday. He then joked, "@AmazonVideoUK now saying I can't be their chief drone pilot. Apparently they want us to make a car show."
May also tweeted his excitement about the new gig.
Hammond seemed thrilled to have a new job until he learned the Clarkson and May would starring in it as well. Hey, that's the breaks!
Former "Top Gear" executive producer Andy Wilman will also join the new show, which has not been given an official title, according to Deadline. Production will start in time for the show to start airing next year.
The BBC will continue to air new episodes of "Top Gear" will Chris Evans replacing Clarkson as the host.
