Ryan Seacrest Show Cancelled: 'Knock Knock Live' Pulled After Just Two Episodes

After airing only two episodes, Fox has pulled the plug on Ryan Seacrests "Knock Knock Live," reports Variety. The theme of "Knock Knock" was to surprise regular people by bringing celebrities to their front door to give them a prize. The July 28 episode featured Justin Bieber but failed to perform in the ratings even with such a big star.

The series premiere, which featured an appearance by David Beckham, brought in a soft 0.5 rating and just 1.7 million total viewers, per Nielsen's fast national numbers, according to TheWrap. The impromptu game show was produced by XIX Entertainment and Dick Clark Productions. Simon Fuller, Michael Herwick, Allen Shapiro, Mike Mahan, Mark Bracco, Stijn Bakkers, Nicolle Yaron, and Seacrest served as executive producers.

The network is going to replace the failed TV show from Tuesday nights and is replacing it with comedy repeats, reports Entertainment Weekly. Seacrest will return to Fox in January for the final season of "American Idol."
