Following a civil ceremony last Saturday at Monaco's royal palace, Beatrice Borromeo and Pierre Casiraghi held another ceremony in Italy - this one a religious ceremony, People reports. An elegant party in a castle overlooking a lake followed the religious ceremony.
Borromeo is the daughter of Don Carlo Ferdinando Borromeo, Count of Arona and part of one of Italy's most ancient and aristocratic families. Casiraghi is the youngest son of Princess Caroline of Monaco and grandson of Grace Kelly, according to Forbes.
For the most recent ceremony, the bride wore two different gowns by Italian designer Giorgio Armani. For the actual service, she wore a quarter length sleeve, custom ivory Armani Privé gown with a long veil. The groom wore a clear gray tuxedo with a matching waistcoat and white and pale blue tie. For the reception, Borromeo changed into a low-cut white flowing silk dress that had a long skirt and train. Casiraghi wore a black cutaway tux with a white shirt and bow tie.
The lunchtime ceremony was a private occasion that was family only, but the reception was held for more that 600 guests on the Rocca d'Angera island.
Casiraghi and his bride had been dating since May 2008 when they met at Milan's Bocconi University.
