Justin Bieber Sentence: Singer Given Extension on Community Service Requirements Stemming From Vandalism

A judge says that because Justin Bieber is complying with the terms of his probation in a vandalism case the "Where Are You Now" singer has until later this year to complete community labor requirements of his sentence, according to U.S. News. Superior Court Judge Leland Harris gave the extension on Monday in a hearing steaming from Bieber's misdemeanor vandalism case filed after he damaged a former neighbor's home with eggs.

According to court documents, Bieber has already completed the anger management and restitution portions of his sentence and just needs to finish the labor portion. He is supposed to complete five days of roadside cleanup, graffiti removal or other manual labor, reports Billboard.

A prosecutor says that the singer is very close to finishing the manual labor and the work is being delayed because of a severe ankle injury. Bieber, who has a new single coming out later this month, did not attend the hearing.

Bieber caused $80,000 worth of damage to his neighbor's home in a gated community in the Los Angeles suburb of Calabasas last year and has since reimbursed them and moved away.
