Reba McEntire Co-Star Melissa Peterman: Country Star Is ‘Doing Great’

Reba McEntire and Narvel Blackstock announced the end of their marriage on Monday, but the country singer is still "doing great" according to her friend and former co-star, Melissa Peterman.

"I've talked to her and she's doing great," the Peterman told Entertainment Tonight on Tuesday. She and McEntire starred together on The WB/The CW sitcom, "Reba," for six seasons.

McEntire and Blackstock have been married for 26 years but separated a few months ago. They put out a joint statement announcing their divorce on the "Going Out Like That" singer's website.

"Despite this being the end of their marriage, they continue to support each other. They have worked together for 35 years and will continue to do so," the statement read.

Peterman also said, "Beyond what she said in her statement, I love her and I wish her all my love, and that's all I can say right now... I love her."

The soon-to-be exes share one son together, race car driver Shelby Blackstock. Narvel also has three children from a previous relationship including his son Brandon, who is married to Kelly Clarkson.
