Rookie Blue Spoilers: Peter Mooney Talks about His Character's Relationship with Andy; 'Are There Ever Resolutions in Life?'

Season 4 of Rookie Blue has brought the show’s usual bit of weird criminals, questionable decisions and complications in romance. One of the highlights this season—unless you’re Gail*—is the new relationship of Nick and Andy.

Of course, according to an interview Peter Mooney recently did with TVLine, things will get rocky.

“It’s not without its complications,” Mooney said speaking of the relationship. “There’s a lot more that’s going to come out in the next couple of episodes.”

We saw some of the complications in Episode 11, “Deception,” as it appears Sam and Andy are still connected and it causes a problem for Nick. Although Andy’s with Nick she literally put her job—and possible time in jail—on the line to do something for Sam. Oh, and let’s be honest, even though she told Sam she didn’t do the favor for him, we know otherwise.

The complications with Nick, Andy and Sam create more of a trapezoid than a triangle when Gail is included. When asked if Gail still adds some difficulty to the situation, Mooney said, “For sure.

“That’s going to be hanging about in the air around 15 [Division],” he said. “But it looks like Gail has her own thing going on, so that might be preoccupying her, in a sense.”

When it comes to a final decision on Andy’s relationships at the end of the season, Mooney asked, “Are there every resolutions in life?”

Although things were rocky at the end of Episode 11, it seems Andy and Nick made up. It’s also possible she could have told him what she did, which adds even more complications.

Rookie Blue airs Thursdays at 10/9c on ABC.
