Oops. Carly Fiorina left her speech for the Republican debate on top of a hotel printer on Thursday. It was found by a Rand Paul staffer, but Fiorina is the one who made a lasting impression by giving the speech just the same.
She was the most-searched candidate following the pre-Republican debate, which was broadcast hours earlier than the main Thursday night debate, according to Newsweek. Only the top 10 Republican candidates were invited to speak at the main debate. The remaining seven, which included Fiorina, got together in a pre-debate debate.
Maybe Fiorina knew she no longer needed her speech remarks. Either way, the piece of paper was discovered, photographed and tweeted before the debate started. She still delivered the short speech, and made a stir on social media following the pre-debate. Rand Paul polled high enough to appear in the primetime debate Thursday night.
"We need a nominee who is going to throw every punch, not pull punches, and someone who can not stumble before he even gets into the ring," Fiorina said in her speech, according to CNN.
Sergio Gor, who tweeted the speech, is the communications director for Sen. Rand Paul (Ky.), according to the New York Daily News.
