Two shooters open fired at the U.S. Consulate in Istanbul on Monday. No one was hurt since the two attackers took off after policemen counterattacked them. The consulate building is located within the Sariyer district in Istanbul. Attackers were allegedly a man and a woman, but authorities cannot confirm it at the moment, according to Reuters.
The gunfire occurred right after a bomb attack in Istanbul early Monday. The bombing happened at a police station causing a collapse of some areas of the three-story building, leaving five police officers and two civilians hurt. Authorities have not confirmed whether these two attacks are connected, International Business Times reported.
