EBay introduced its newest innovation in retail mobile application on Friday and it is set to redefine convenience with its fully redesigned PayPal app with a new feature "Shop."
The fifth iteration from PayPal's first mobile application for iPhone five years ago, its new features upgrades the mobile experience of its users by means of convenient retail payments inside stores, money transfer to and from friends, and expense monitoring to keep tabs of your spending.
It also allows easy selection of your choice of payment on your Android phone or Iphone. You can pay for your coffee via bank account early in the morning; have lunch paid through credit card at noon, or take advantage of the new option, the in-app credit line called Bill Me Later, for Jamba Juice refreshments after office.
The added convenience of the mobile app also lets friends or family share the dinner bill by easy direct transfer of specific amounts from one user to another.
To further heighten the ante for its users' retail experience, a new feature named "Shop" lists all the stores and food establishments within the vicinity that is PayPal-enabled.
PayPal's Hill Ferguson, VP for Global Product, said in a blog post that the new design of the mobile application makes the customers find it a lot easier than ever to settle bills inside retail establishments or transfer money to friends. Further, he also emphasized that although this allows payment through phone, it doesn't translate to sacrifices on choice for the part of the user.
So the next time you find yourself short of cash, without a purse, or with an expired credit card, worry no more. As long as you have the PayPal mobile application at your disposal, you can pay for your purchases in-store, transfer any amount to your loved ones and even keep tabs of your spending patterns.
