Verizon First To Offer LG G2 Smartphone Starting September 12; AT&T and T-Mobile Trail Behind

LG's latest flagship Smartphone, G2, is making its way to leading U.S. network carriers with first availability on Verizon, September 12, followed by AT&T and then T-Mobile.

Verizon has won the race to bring LG's newest flagship smartphone, G2, to the U.S. market starting Thursday, September 12. But its biggest competitor, AT&T, is not far behind in the race. The LG G2 will hit AT&T stores starting September 13 for $199.99 with a two-year contract or for $27 monthly on AT&T Next. And the G2 smartphone is coming to T-Mobile's network on September 25 for $99.99.

Bringing newest smartphones from leading mobile makers has long been a trend among the U.S. carriers. It can be a game changer as it attracts several early buyers. The LG G2 was aggressively marketed and it is not surprising to see the leading U.S. carriers rush to bring the device on their networks.

AT&T and Verizon will offer the LG G2 smartphone for $199.99 with a two year contract. But Verizon owns exclusive rights to offer its customers with wireless charging support for the phone.

AT&T customers can purchase their new G2 smartphone online by choosing a suitable offer starting Friday.

"We are always rethinking what's possible, so we can continue to offer you the most compelling products and services," Jeff Bradley, senior vice president- Devices, AT&T, said in a press statement. "The LG G2 successfully marries innovation with performance. We're excited to welcome this unique device to our leading smartphone portfolio, on the nation's fastest and now most reliable 4G LTE network."

LG G2 is the first smartphone without the side buttons and runs on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. It features a bold 5.2-inch Full HD IPS display with 1080-by-1920 pixel resolution. The G2 sports 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2.1 megapixel on the front. The device comes in either black or white with 16GB internal built storage or the 32GB variant.

But for those who are willing to wait for the device to arrive on T-Mobile can purchase the device by shelling out a reasonable $99.99 but will have to pay $21 per month for the next 24 months to cover the total cost of the device.

While other service providers fight to offer the G2 smartphone, Sprint has been silent about its availability and pricing. Looking at the current trend, it is likely that Sprint may also announce the G2 availability soon.

AT&T is not only offering the G2; the network has already made the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 available for pre-orders for $299.99 with a two year contract or $35 monthly with AT&T Next. AT&T has promised to ship the device by October 1. Other network carriers have not announced the availability or pricing on the Galaxy Note 3.
