Jack Osbourne's wife, Lisa Stelly, shared sad news on her blog Raddest Mom. The 27-year-old revealed that she suffered a "late term miscarriage" last week, the Daily Mail reports. In a blog post titled "Unfortunate Announcement" she said that she had been "dreading" writing the post and needed to come to terms with it before she made the announcement.
"I have been dreading this announcement... I needed some time before being able to say it," Stelly wrote. "Jack and I lost our baby boy last week. Having a late term miscarriage is by far the hardest thing either of us have ever had to go through. We appreciate all of your prayers and ask for privacy and respect during this time."
The couple, who married in October, has a 16-month-old daughter named Pearl. Stelly wrote on the blog that she and her husband are doing their best to remain positive "and optimistic through life's toughest moments."
"We never know why things like this happen. All we can do is trust in God and know he has a plan for our lives," she wrote.
Osbourne and Stelly announced their pregnancy last month. She revealed they were expecting a second child by posting a photo on her blog of her, Osbourne, their daughter and positive pregnancy test. She said they felt "so blessed" about expanding their family and revealed that she was in her second trimester at the time.
"I am in my second trimester, feeling great & trying not to eat everything in sight," she wrote under the family snapshot. "We feel so blessed that our family is growing & Pearl will have a little brother or sister to play with. It's so crazy to think that we will soon be a family of four!"
Osbourne was recently announced as one of the new cast members of "Dancing With the Stars" and put on a brave face despite the tragic news as he headed to rehearsal, the Daily Mail reports.
