Alyssa Milano leaked her own version of a sex tape to direct public attention toward the more serious issue of the conflict in Syria.
Smart and Sexy! Alyssa Milano leaked her own version of a sex tape for a better cause. The whole aim of the video is to draw people's attention toward the developing situation in Syria. Released to the website "Funny or Die" on Wednesday, the video features the 40-year-old actress stripping down to her lingerie to film a 'supposed' sex tape with an unnamed man.
The self-taped video starts out by showing the former "Charmed" star drinking and heading to a Cabo San Lucas hotel room with a bed covered with rose petals. Just before diving onto the bed, the actress sets the camera into position. But the dive shifts the camera accidentally toward the television showing a news update on the Syrian conflict, which was the main idea.
To make it seem more real, Milano tweeted a message soon after the leak of her video.
My sex tape was leaked. Not sure what to say. Going to post the link myself to try to control the situation☛ https://t.co/rMICHDeioC

"I just thought it was a really smart way to make a statement about where we are socially in this country, how people are more likely to click on a link that says 'sex tape' than legitimate news," Milano said in an exclusive statement to E! News. "I thought it was a fun way to just educate people on what was going on." This isn't the first time the actress has worked for Funny or Die. She has acted in two other similar skits that made "social statements." Well, if it makes any difference, Milano's so called "sex tape" went viral and has got 4 million views already since Wednesday. The former "Who's the Boss?" star actively participates in spreading social and political awareness through her Twitter page.
