Billy Joel and his wife Alexis Roderick had a baby girl!
Early this morning, Roderick delivered their daughter, Della Rose Joel, in New York, Joel's rep confirmed to People. Della Rose is the first child Roderick, 33, and Joel, 66, have had together. Joel also has a daughter Alexa Ray, 29, from his previous marriage to supermodel Christie Brinkley.
"Billy is thrilled to become a dad again," a source told People when they found out the good news.
Joel and Roderick, who is an established equestrian, got married just last month at Joel's Long Island estate during his annual Fourth of July Party, completely surprising their close friends and family when they began exchanging vows.
As of recently, Joel has been playing shows nation-wide, so he was most likely away from New York, which is his hometown, when news broke that his wife would be having the baby, according to Daily Mail. Just yesterday, he was spotted hopping off a helicopter in New York, proving that he made it there just in time for the birth of his daughter.
His next show is scheduled for tomorrow night in Philadelphia and it is unclear whether or not the show will go on following this amazing news.
