Armed police stormed King's Cross station in London on Thursday evening to detain a man that reportedly caused a security threat. Details are slim as to the identity of the man or why British Transport Police (BTP) arrested him, but City AM reports that authorities met the train as it pulled into the station "due to an incident on board that train." The incident has cause heavy delays. Multiple platforms are closed while BTP continue their investigation, a spokesperson told City AM.
"BTP officers are on scene at King's Cross station dealing with an ongoing incident. A man has been detained by officers on the platforms and enquiries are ongoing," BTP announced. "Some platforms have been closed while this takes place. Members of the public are asked to follow instructions from police officers and rail staff."
National Rail took to Twitter to update commuters on what was happening and how it will affect train service.
