Customer Sues Restaurant Over Bread Injury

Lambert's Café in Sikeston, Mo., "Home of the Throwed Rolls," is being sued by a patron who claims to have been injured by one of the infamous "throwed rolls," according to the Examiner.

The restaurant is known for tossing dinner rolls across the dining room to customers, but one patron got caught off guard, getting hit in the eye by a tossed roll, according to the Examiner. Troy Tucker is now suing the restaurant, calling the behavior "careless and irresponsible."

Tucker claims that the restaurant "failed to adequately train its employees" which resulted in her injuries, according to WMTV.

Tucker claims to have sustained, "a lacerated cornea with a vitreous detachment and all head, neck, eyes and vision were severely damaged," when she visited Lambert's Café in September 2014, according to Eater.

The suit, filed in Scott County Circuit Court suit, calls for $25,000 to cover bills and legal fees, according to WMTV.

Lambert's Café is a popular restaurant in the area, much of its fame coming from the thrown rolls. The restaurant widely advertises this. These ads also come with warnings, urging diners to come at their own risk, according to the Examiner.
