A pig was brought to a Melbourne animal shelter in July since the owner can no longer care for it. The previous owner realized that the 2-week-old pig is growing too big for their household and decided to surrender it to the shelter.
The pig, named Squeak, found a new home at Edgar’s Mission, a not-for-profit Farm Sanctuary that focuses on creating a humane and just world for humans and non-humans, Little Things reported.
“Already struggling to cope with the burgeoning number of unwanted cats and dogs, it now seems pigs are all too often being added to the mix, even adorable cute and tiny ones like Little Squeak. And it is not just miniature pigs that have become the new ‘black’ when it comes to ‘pets’ as an alarming number of farm pigs are finding themselves homeless as well,” the mission states on their website.
In an adorable video, Squeak is seed playing hide and seek with her giant teddy bear that sits on the hay. Well, the mere thought of seeing a pig playing with a teddy bear is already cute, but you will surely be more entertained once you see the video below.
Apparently, Squeak is enjoying her new home and her new teddy bear buddy!
