Marco Rubio publicly called out Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry Friday. Rubio, who is the son of Cuban immigrants, is angry about the administration's changed policy on Cuba. He's also angry about the Iran deal, according to CNN.
"I would like to focus my remarks today on these two dangerous developments with Iran and Cuba, as I believe they represent the convergence of nearly every flawed strategic, moral and economic notion that has driven President Obama's foreign policy," said Rubio at the Foreign Policy Initiative.
Kerry is in Cuba to celebrate the reopening of the U.S. embassy. Florida Sen. Rubio is currently running in the Republican presidential primary. He has said that, if elected president, he would end the Iran deal. "I will undertake a three-part plan to roll back President Obama's deal with Iran and repair the damage done to America's standing in the Middle East," said Rubio, CNN reported.
In the speech, Rubio also said he would end diplomatic ties with Cuba as president, according to the Wall Street Journal. Rubio was born in Florida to Cuban parents.
"He has been quick to deal with the oppressors, but slow to deal with the oppressed," said Rubio, according to U.S. News & World Report. He added he would make foreign policy the focal point of his presidential campaign, and also linked Hillary Clinton to Obama's current foreign policies. Clinton previously served as Obama's Secretary of State.
