StemExpress announced Friday that it will cut ties with Planned Parenthood, according to The Blaze. The announcement comes just two days after another video portraying the company in a highly negative light.
StemExpress is the tissue supply company that was featured in controversial videos released by the Center for Medical Progress (CMP). The House Energy and Senate Judiciary committees have asked StemExpress to explain its relationship with Planned Parenthood.
"StemExpress unequivocally denies the allegations made by Holly O'Donnell and The Center for Medical Progress and reaffirms that it has never obtained blood or tissue samples from a patient without first obtaining consent," StemExpress said in a Wednesday statement, The Blaze reported.
The sixth video was released by StemExpress Wednesday. This one featured an interview with a former StemExpress employee, Holly O'Donnell, according to Politico. O'Donnell has appeared in previous CMP videos. "I'm not going to tell a girl to kill her baby so I can get money. And that's what this company does," O'Donnell said in the video.
StemExpress has been granted a temporary restraining order against CMP. StemExpress provides specimens to biomedical researchers around the world.
Arkansas became the fourth state to de-fund Planned Parenthood on Friday. The others are Alabama, Louisiana and New Hampshire, according to Life News.
