Sabre Travel Network has signed a partnership with Norwegian to promote its air fares, schedules and inventory on Sabre's network, reports Breaking Travel News.
Sabre Travel Network is the marketplace connecting sellers and buyers to shop, book and manage their travel through its vast connections with several travel agencies and travel management companies. As per the agreement signed between Sabre and Norwegian, travel agents can further explore and book tickets offered by Norwegian, including two checked bags and meals on flight, says the report.
"This agreement with Sabre, and the global reach it provides, will help distribute our product into new markets," said Lars Sande, sales director for Norwegian, to Breaking Travel News. "The agency channel will play a crucial role in our ability to provide a first-rate travel experience at affordable prices to the broadest possible customer base. It will also allow agencies and travel management companies to efficiently shop and book our bundled fares."
"Norwegian's importance among European corporations and business travellers has been growing in recent years," Harald Eisenaecher, senior vice president for Sabre EMEA said, according to the report. "Sabre aims to play a pivotal role in the airline's future by making its fares, ancillaries and schedules available to our global travel agency community and helping drive revenue from the corporate market. We will continue to invest in the products and services that low-cost carriers, such as Norwegian, need to grow their international businesses."
Norwegian is the third largest low-cost airlines in Europe offering millions of customers best fares and travel solutions. Its vast operation extends across Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East with 313 routes to 116 destinations.
