Nicki Minaj had to cut the music mid-concert at the Concord Pavilion in Concord, Calif. on Friday night when she witnessed one unruly fan in the audience spray mace at some other fans. The pepper spray came out during a fight between fans over seating, according to TMZ.
The argument went on for 10 minutes before the mace was sprayed. Nearby fans screamed and then started running away from the area. Minaj then started yelling, "Stop! Stop!" to cut her music and then beckoned the girl sprayed to the stage so she could receive medical attention.
"Bring her to the stage," Minaj said. "The one that just got sprayed with mace in the face."
The victim received a bottle of water when she arrived at the stage, according to the New York Daily News. The violent altercation ended the concert early.
The mace event reportedly happened during the song "The Night Is Still Young." Minaj also performed with her boyfriend Meek Mill at the concert.
The "Anaconda" singer addressed the violence at her sold out concert on her Instagram on Saturday. "They were more than turnT... Let's just say that," she wrote.
Minaj headed north to Canada on Sunday for concerts in Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton. She comes back to the States for the Billboard Hot 100 Festival in Wantagh, N.Y. on Aug. 22 and 23.
