After some rumors started going around about Rihanna dating NBA player Matt Barnes – some fueled by Barnes himself – Rihanna got busy shutting them down in an Instagram post.
It all started when word got out that the two had gone on two dates in the past few months but that things weren't really serious, TMZ originally reported. Barnes' soon-to-be ex-wife Gloria Govan even said she was cool with the whole thing, telling a cameraman, "whatever makes him happy."
On Saturday, another TMZ cameraman got a hold of Barnes, 35, and asked what was going on between him and the singer. "Rihanna's my friend right now," he said. "So we'll see where it goes. I think it's just past the crush stage, just a little bit." He shot down the fact that they'd been on two dates, saying it was just "speculation" and confirming, once again, that they're just friends, adding "and we'll see where it goes from there."
Rihanna, on the other hand, doesn't think it's going anywhere because according to her latest Instagram post, the two have never even met! The 27-year-old "B-ch Better Have My Money" singer posted a screen shot of Barnes talking to TMZ and used a ton of hash tags as her caption, shutting down Barnes and any of the rumors surrounding the two.
"Bish where, the devil is a liar, she's not that into you, she's not into you at all, she's never even met you, this actually hurt my feelings, defamation of character," she wrote using all hash tags.
Apparently, Barnes got a hold of this post and commented, according to Gossip Cop. "Haha wow," he wrote on her post.
