Kristen Stewart was offered half a million dollars to spend 15 minutes with a Middle Eastern prince. According to E! News, Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein recently spilled details about how the prince was so keen on chatting with Stewart that he was willing to pay $500,000.
Weinstein was promoting his latest project, called "12. 12. 12" for a Hurricane Sandy benefit concert when he spilled all the details. He wouldn't reveal who the prince was but he did explain why he offered the half a million dollars. Weinstein said he was approached by the prince's people and said that he would make a hefty donation to a Hurricane Sandy relief fund if he could meet Stewart.
The Hollywood producer said that he had to convince the actress to agree to it but once she found out how big the price tag was she was onboard. He also added that the prince paid in full - and in cash - before he sat down with the actress.Of course, details about what was discussed during the brief meet-and-greet were not revealed but it's safe to say Stewart has a big fan.
According to E! Stewart wasn't the only one who raised a bunch of money to help people affected by the hurricane. Lady Gaga donated $1 million to the American Red Cross back in November 2012.
"If it wasn't for NYC: the Lower Eastside, Harlem, the Bronx and Brooklyn, I would not be the woman or artist that I am today," Gaga said on her blog. "New York is relentless ambition, a drive to succeed, a place where there is a natural pursuit of diversity through compassion."
Jon Bon Jovi also donated $1 million to the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund.
"This is bittersweet," he said. "It's heartbreaking to see our fellow New Jerseyans so affected by ravages of Hurricane Sandy but we're happy to make the donation and offer real, substantial help to the residents of Sayreville and the nearby, low-lying communities as they rebuild their homes and lives."
