Since Jon Stewart left "The Daily Show" just last week, with an emotional goodbye after 17 years, it left us no choice but to move on. Trevor Noah secured the role as new host and now must somehow fill Stewart's legendary shoes — and the first look is promising.
A 30-second teaser for Comedy Central's new and improved "Daily Show" was released Tuesday, according to CBS News. The clip shows Noah walking onto the set of the show and then sitting in the same seat we saw Stewart in for all those years as Kanye West's "Power" plays in the background. "Same chair, different ass" is the tagline.
The show will pretty much remain the same, as it will still "focus on current events, politics and other relevant topics," except with a shift in perspective, according to Variety.
"In terms of content on the show, we're still dealing with the same issues," said Noah. "Issues are not really changing in America and the world. It's just a different angle. My angle. I'm a 31-year-old, half-black, half-white South African who's lived in America for a few years on and off.... Jon would comment on it from a very different place than I would because I'm more of an outsider to that world than he is."
Check out the teaser below for "The Daily Show with Trevor Noah," which premieres Sept. 28 on Comedy Central.
