Nia Peeples and Sam George are getting a divorce. On Monday, it was reported that the 53-year-old "Pretty Little Liars" actress and her husband, professional surfer Sam George, had split and were in a fight over their fancy Malibu mobile home, according to TMZ. Apparently, the documents stated that Peeples wanted to keep their $875,000 trailer, but this isn't exactly the case.
Peeples took to her Twitter to clear up these rumors, stating that the divorce part is in fact true but that the trailer part is not. A fan tweeted at her saying, "Is is true you divorced from Sam? I hope not...so sorry about that sweet Nia," to which Peeples replied, "The part about the divorce is true. The part about demanding the trailer is not. All is amicable. There is no demanding." She then added, "You know tabloids. Got 2make a story of everything. We agreed to keep what we each paid for. #NoDrama."
The actress filed the divorce documents in Los Angeles Superior Court for irreconcilable differences, according to E! News. She and George have been together for nearly eight years after getting married in August 2007. They have no children together, but Peeples does have a son and a daughter from a previous relationship.
Peeples went on to answer fans' tweets about the divorce, thanking many for their support and even sharing some words of wisdom. Read the tweets below!
