Josh Duggar, Ashley Madison Scandal: Father-Of-Four Admits To Cheating On His Wife Anna, Says He's 'The Biggest Hypocrite Ever' [UPDATE]

[UPDATE]: Duggar has re-released his previous statement addressing his infidelity towards his wife Anna, after he was exposed for being a member of the adultery site Ashley Madison. In the his updated statement, the reality star removed the line about the "secret addiction" of "viewing pornography on the Internet."

Duggar also removed lines "actions that happened when I was 14-15 years old" and changed "Satan to build a fortress" in his heart to "I was hiding my own personal failures."

The Duggar family posted the updated statement on their family's website and included a memo for the reality star's parents, Jim Bod and Michelle Duggar asking fans to pray for their family.

"Please see the statement below from our son Josh regarding recent media stories about him. When we learned of this late last night our hearts were broken. As we continue to place our trust in God we ask for your prayers for Josh, Anna, our grandchildren and our entire family," Duggar's parents wrote.

Read Duggar's UPDATED confession:

"I have been the biggest hypocrite ever. While espousing faith and family values, I have been unfaithful to my wife. I am so ashamed of the double life that I have been living and am grieved for the hurt, pain and disgrace my sin has caused my wife and family, and most of all Jesus and all those who profess faith in Him."

"I have brought hurt and a reproach to my family, close friends and the fans of our show with my actions. The last few years, while publicly stating I was fighting against immorality in our country I was hiding my own personal failures.

As I am learning the hard way, we have the freedom to choose our actions, but we do not get to choose our consequences. I deeply regret all the hurt I have caused so many by being such a bad example. I humbly ask for your forgiveness. Please pray for my precious wife Anna and our family during this time."

ORIGINAL STORY:

Josh Duggar has confessed. Just hours after reports claimed that Duggar was named one of the 37 million cheating spouses using the adultery site Ashley Madison, the 27-year-old former "19 Kids and Counting" star released a statement confessing to being unfaithful to his wife, Anna.

"I have been the biggest hypocrite ever. While espousing faith and family values, I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography on the internet and this became a secret addiction and I became unfaithful to my wife," he began his statement.

"I am so ashamed of the double life that I have been living and am grieved for the hurt, pain and disgrace my sin has caused my wife and family, and most of all Jesus and all those who profess faith in Him."

The disgraced reality star had two accounts on the cheating website and paid close to $1,000 for extramarital affairs, Gawker reported. Ashley Madison, a website designed to help married men and women find their next affair, was targeted by a secretive group called "the Impact Team."

Duggar created his Ashley Madison account in 2013, the same year he was appointed as the executive director of the Family Research Council, as previously reported by HNGN. The billing address of the card matched the home of his grandmother Mary. Duggar reportedly paid a total of $986.76 for monthly subscriptions to the site, which started in February 2013 and ended in May 2014. The father-of-four reportedly listed "Conventional Sex," "Experimenting with Sex Toys," "One-Night Stands" and "Open to Experimentation" as his sexual desires and interest.

In his post, which has since been deleted, Duggar also apologized directly to his family for his embarrassing scandals, which includes being forced to admit he molested several underage girls - two of which were his younger sisters Jill and Jessa Duggar back in 2002.

"I brought hurt and a reproach to my family, close friends and the fans of our show with my actions that happened when I was 14-15 years old, and now I have re-broken their trust," he continued. "The last few years, while publicly stating I was fighting against immorality in our country, I was hiding my own personal failings. As I am learning the hard way, we have the freedom to choose to our actions, but we do not get to choose our consequences. I deeply regret all hurt I have caused so many by being such a bad example. I humbly ask for your forgiveness. Please pray for my precious wife Anna and our family during this time."

Duggar and Anna welcomed their fourth child together last month, a daughter named Meredith Grace. The couple are also parents to Mackynzie, 5, Michael, 4, Marcus, 2.
