Sadie Robertson of the infamous "Duck Dynasty" clan walked the Sherri Hill fashion show runway for New York Fashion Week, the whole of her famous and tight-knit family there to support her. She and father Willie recently spoke to FOX411 about how they balance family time with fame, along with some thoughts on Miley Cyrus.
"It's tough. You know, the whole world is different now, so everyone knows who you are," Willie told FOX411 of his family's newfound place in the spotlight. "It wasn't the way we were raised because we were raised really poor so nobody knew who we were. We'll put it in the Lord's hands so we'll see what happens."
The Robertsons skyrocketed to fame after their A&E reality show about their family's duck call fabrication business quickly became a hit. The mostly bearded clan has edged their way into our pop cultural lexicon, their success a confusion among many. This includes Entertainment Weekly's writer Tanner Stransky, who dubbed the show "so scary" and recalled the confusion among the editorial team as to why "Duck Dynasty" was suddenly so popular, which he summed up with the phrase, "What the duck?"
Despite the family's success, 16-year old daughter Sadie made it known to FOX411 reporters that she and her family are a far cry from other famous families like the Cyruses, who are currently experiencing turmoil in the wake of Billy Ray Cyrus and Tisch Cyrus calling off their divorce for a second time and assorted familial scandals that have all been publicized.
"My family has been praying for her [Miley Cyrus'] family," Sadie said."We feel very bad for her because we know how entertainment can get wrapped up in your head. We try to stay strong as a family. We just pray that their family comes back together."
Though she can likely relate to the struggles of maintaining togetherness in the limelight, Sadie assured reporters that she is nothing like her celebrity peer, especially when it comes to her dance moves of choice.
"I would never twerk in public," she said. "It is not modest to me but for the girls out there that do, it's their decision."
Though twerking has been around for ages, Miley Cyrus recently drew attention to the dance craze during her VMAs performance with Robin Thicke and "twerk" video, the ex-Disney princess a big fan of the word and dancing style, which she's incorporated into her new music off of her upcoming album, "Bangerz."
As for Sadie's future in fashion, the teen's "Duck Dynasty" dad told FOX411, "She's got a bunch of opportunities right now with the business but we'll see. I don't want [my kids] in a slot. I just want them to do whatever they want."
However, still being a teenager, Sadie still had some restrictions when it came to her fashion debut.
"Me and my mother and my grandma went to Sherri Hill's place and we all picked out 'daddy approved length," Sadie said. "She also added a couple inches to some that we loved but weren't modest."
Sadie is currently collaborating with Sherri Hill on a new line of prom dresses. When asked what she was considering persuing in the future, be it fashion or another business, she replied, "I still have three more years of high school so I have a long time to think about it."
