Yesterday "Teen Mom 2" star Jenelle Evans was arrested for allegedly attacking her ex-fiancé Nathan Griffith's new girlfriend. The attack happened at Evans home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where she attacked Griffith's new girlfriend with a glass, TMZ reported.
Evans and Griffith broke off their engagement for the second time earlier this month.
Horry County Police Department officials said they were called to the home around 2 p.m. where they discovered a 29-year-old woman who said she was assaulted by Evans. The woman told police officers she accompanied Griffith to the home of Evans to gather his belongings. The altercation happened while the new couple was still at Evans home. The "Teen Mom 2" star allegedly threw a glass which struck Griffith's girlfriend on her head, reported Cosmopolitan. Evans was arrested and charged with third-degree assault.
A representative for Evans released a statement on her behalf. The young mom said she is moving and invited her ex-fiancé and father to her second child over to collect his belongings. Griffith brought over his new girlfriend to Evans house in order to provoke her, the rep stated, according to Hollywood Life.
"I feel Nathan provoked the situation by bringing his current girlfriend to Jenelle's house," Evans rep Johnny Donovan said. "He shouldn't have brought his new girlfriend with him, he was very clearly trying to stir up trouble."
This was hardly the first time Evans had troubles with the law.
Her most recent arrest came in May when police charged her with domestic violence after she allegedly attacked Griffith at his house. She claimed that he tried to run her over with his car. She was also arrested in February for driving without a license, reported Us Weekly. The "Teen Mom 2" star has reportedly been arrested somewhere between 9 and 13 times.
