After reports circulated Wednesday that actress Megan Fox had separated from her husband, actor Brian Austin Green, she made the split official and filed for divorce, TMZ reported.
Fox's attorney Laura Wasser said the reason for the split is "irreconcilable differences," according to TMZ. Fox is seeking joint custody - physically and legally - of the couple's two sons, 2-year-old Noah and 18-month-old Bodhi. It is also reported that the couple didn't sign a prenup.
The divorce is "amicable," according to TMZ's sources. The couple is still living in the same house.
Fox, 29, and Green, 42, were together for 11 years, splitting up in 2009 after Fox called off their three-year-engagement. They worked things out and tied the knot in 2010 during a beach ceremony in Hawaii, People reported.
Their date of separation was listed as June 15, just days after the couple was last seen together on a lunch outing on June 9, as previously reported by HNGN. The couple's separation was announced earlier this week.
"Megan and Brian have decided to separate," a source told People. "They will always love each other very much and are devoted to their kids. Anything could happen in the future, but for now they've decided it's best to take some time apart."
