Wiz Khalifa was apparently arrested on Saturday for riding a hoverboard through Los Angeles Internation Airport.
The 27-year-old rapper was reportedly riding around LAX on a hoverboard Saturday afternoon when he refused to get off, which led to three officers putting him in cuffs, according to Billboard. Khalifa then posted a series of Tweets and even a few Instagram posts, explaining more of what had happened.
"Haven't been slammed and cuffed in a while," the first tweet read. "That was fun."
He then posted a video to Instagram of three cops arresting him on the ground. "3 cops yell stop resisting," he captioned the video. "Only thing to do is let em know. I'm not resisting, I'm doin what I want."
Another video then explained why exactly he was being taken down. "All because I didn't want to ditch the technology everyone will be using in the next 6 months," he wrote."Do what you want kids."
It is unclear if he was charged for the incident, or if they just let him go with no charges, according to People. No records of him being booked are in the L.A. County jail system.
Los Angeles police have not responded to requests for comments, but a Customs and Border Protection spokesperson has provided a statement, according to Entertainment Weekly. "U.S. Customs and Border Protection strives to treat all travelers with respect and in a professional manner, while maintaining the focus of our mission to protect all citizens and visitors in the United States," the statement read. "All travelers arriving into the U.S. are subject to CBP inspection, and for their own safety and the safety of our passengers, must follow officers' instructions while in the Federal Inspection Service area. CBP officers are conducting their critical national security mission while facilitating the entry of legitimate travelers. An uncompliant passenger or any destructive behavior could put many at risk in this highly secure area. Privacy laws prevent CBP from discussing specific cases."
After the incident was over and had gone public, Khalifa took to Twitter again to share his thoughts. "I stand up for our generation," he tweeted. "And our generation is gonna be riding hover boards so if you don't like it eat a d--k!"
