Qatar Airways Launches New Apps For Blackberry, Android and iPhone Users

Qatar Airways launches new apps for mobile users to stay connected with the airlines' latest updates from anywhere across the globe, according to the latest press release by Qatar Airways.

Qatar Airways has been awarded Skytrax's "Airline of the Year" for two consecutive years and is one the world's fastest growing airlines. To match the customers' needs and to keep up with the fast growing technology, Qatar Airways has launched new mobile application for Blackberry, iPhone and Android users. This will allow customers to stay connected with the airlines' updates anytime with just a click.

The new mobile app can be downloaded from the Android market, Apple store and Blackberry App world. Further mobile website can also be accessed by simply going to "qatarairways.com" through the mobile browser.

A new option will be available for the members of the airline's Privilege Card frequent flyer program, which will allow them to manage their bookings by logging in with their membership number, says the report.

"We are continually looking for ways to bring new and exciting services to our customers," said Akbar Al Baker, Chief Executive Officer for Qatar Airways, according to the press release. "Mobility is high on the list of our customers to have access to important travel and flight information when and where they want it, so we have now given them a new service that meets that demand. As our customers' needs evolve, so will the services and products that we offer."

With the launch of new mobile app, the airlines hope to extend its elite services and ease of access for all the customers across the globe. Qatar Airways currently consists of 119 aircrafts to 124 destinations including Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific and The United States of America.

The airlines plan to expand its routes to a few new destinations in the following months including Phnom Penh in Cambodia which is due shortly by Feb. 20, said the report. Later it may extend its routes to Chengdu in China, Chicago and Salalah in Oman.
