Warning: The following contains possible spoilers for season 6 of "The Walking Dead."
Season six of AMC's "The Walking Dead" will continue to showcase the Alexandria Safe Zone and the people that inhabit it. Some of those people will be newcomers created specifically for the show. Others will be from the original comic book such as Scott who will be played by Kenric Green.
Green isn't a household name as an actor, but his wife Sonequa Martin-Green plays Sasha Williams on "The Walking Dead."
In the comics, Scott is a supply runner due to his quickness and knowledge of the surrounding area. He's also close friends with Heath, who will be played by Corey Hawkins this season.
Showrunner Scott M. Gimple delivered the news on "Talking Dead" following the "Fear The Walking Dead" series premiere Sunday night. Gimple said that it was "cool to see another character from the book come alive" but chose not to go into greater detail about the character.
That was likely intentional as when we meet Scott in the comic, he is on a supply run with Heath. During the run, Scott breaks his leg while jumping off a roof, leading to Glenn taking his place. Scott's injury wears on Heath's state of mind as he blames himself. Scott is mostly restricted to a hospital bed before meeting a grisly fate on the page. It is unknown his character arc will play out in a similar fashion on the screen. Either way, it's nice to see Gimple and "The Walking Dead" honoring the source material.
Season six of "The Walking Dead" will premiere on AMC on Sunday, Oct. 11.
