Tyga and his landlord are back on bad terms. The "Rack City" rapper is suing his landlord for a breach of contract, claiming that his landlord failed to uphold their agreement over the purchase of a mansion in Calabasas, Calif.
A judge ordered the 25-year-old rapper and father-of-one on Monday to pay his landlord $70,000 in back rent and move out of the California house, People reported.
However, Tyga, real name Michael Nguyen-Stevenson, is claiming that he was in the process of buying the $8 million home and put down the agreed amount of $200,000 in September 2014 to secure his purchase.
Tyga's lawyers filed a countersuit, saying that the landlord is in breach of their contract. The escrow on the house is reportedly past due, but the landlord has not provided all the necessary information needed to allow the loan to be processed, the Daily Mail reported. The landlord's neglect is reportedly causing a lengthy delay in Tyga's attempt to buy the house.
"We evidently live in a world where a man's word is no longer your bond," Tyga's lawyer reportedly said about there possibly being no written agreement between the rapper and his landlord.
The mansion, which Tyga shared with his ex-girlfriend Blac Chyna and their son King Cairo, is reportedly in The Oaks, a gated community in Calabasas. It is also located near his girlfriend Kylie Jenner's $2.7 million, five-bedroom and 4,900-square-foot house.
