"Dancing With The Stars" has brought on its first married couple to ever compete against each other for season 21. Alexa Vega and her husband Carlos Pena are the fifth and sixth cast members to be announced for the upcoming season, and they made the announcement in a very magical way.
Earlier today, "DWTS" tweeted, "We have more #DWTS casting news coming from #Disneyland60 today!" While this left everyone wondering who this could possibly be, very few suspected it could be this couple.
A source had revealed to E! News that these two would be joining the show, but ABC had not confirmed it until now. Things are guaranteed to get interesting with a married couple competing against each other for the Mirrorball trophy.
The 27-year-old "Spy Kids" actress and the Big Time Rush singer posed for a very special photo in front of the famous Disneyland castle while celebrating her birthday, which is today, to make their announcement. "Say hello to married couple @therealcarlospena & @vegaalexa who will both be sharing the dance floor together this season," the caption read. "Stay tuned right here as their takeover @disneyland begins shortly!"
Vega and Pena, who have been married for more than a year, will be joining Bindi Irwin, Nick Carter, Victor Espinoza and Hayes Grier for season 21 of "DWTS." Stay tuned for more cast updates and watch "Good Morning America" on Sept. 2 to see the full lineup!
