“Did you know, everybody loves a monster?” That’s what Fifth Harmony say in the group’s new song, “I’m In Love With a Monster,” which had its video premiere today in New York City’s Times Square. The track is the lead song from the upcoming animated flick “Hotel Transylvania 2.”
The music video features snippets from the movie along with various shots of the multiplatinum quintet — Camila Cabello, Dinah Jane Hansen, Ally Brooke Hernandez, Lauren Jauregui and Normani Kordei — singing, both individually and as a group. The girls are at a haunted hotel, lit only by candles, and the bellboys are all creatures of the night. The girls are decked out in retro outfits, old-fashioned hairstyles and deep, dramatic makeup.
“Basically, we all have different characters,” Cabello told Entertainment Tonight. “It’s so fun though because we’ve never done a music video like this where we get to play characters and be funny and show personality…. So this is, like, probably my favorite music video that we’ve done.”

Why was Fifth Harmony chosen to record a song for the movie? “There are few groups out there that can match the incredibly fun feel and animated vision that [director] Genndy Tartakovsky is bringing to ‘Hotel Transylvania 2’ and Fifth Harmony knocked it out of the park,” said Lia Vollack, president of Worldwide Music for Sony Pictures, according to Broadway World. “The song is exactly what we were hoping for.”
In addition to this new song, 5H is still riding high with the tune “Worth It” (featuring Kid Ink), which currently sits at No. 19 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. The group has been on The Reflection Tour most of 2015, selling out shows across the U.S.
Sony Pictures Animation’s “Hotel Transylvania 2” hits theaters Sept. 25. The sequel to 2012’s “Hotel Transylvania” centers around a hotel for monsters and their families, which is run by Dracula (voiced by Adam Sandler, who also co-wrote the film with Robert Smigel). In the flick, Drac enlists the help of his creepy friends (Kevin James, Keegan-Michael Key, Steve Buscemi and David Spade) to teach his half-human, half-vampire grandson how to act like a true vamp, and he also decides to open up the hotel to humans. Drac’s dad Vlad (Mel Brooks) also enters the picture to stir up even more trouble for the group.
