Utah Salesman Eats 12,000 Big Mac Meals over 30 Years Yet Is Not Obese

A salesman from Utah has reportedly eaten 12,000 Big Mac McDonalds meals over the last 30 years but is not obese.

Who says eating junk food is unhealthy? Look at Dennis Rosinlof, a 64-year-old salesman from Utah. According to reports, the salesman has eaten 12,000 Big Mac McDonalds meals over the last 30 years but continues to remain healthy.

Rosinlof revealed that he eats at least one Big Mac meal a day, sometimes even two. The only exception is on Sundays when his wife cooks at home. The 64-year-old is 6 ft tall, weighs 165 pounds and has a good cholesterol level.

Rosinlof told Daily Mail that he starts the week by having one Big Mac meal on Monday on his way back home from work. Then on Tuesday, he has two such meals - one on his way to work and the other while returning home. On Wednesday, he again restricts the meal to one but continues to have two on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

"My first meal of the day is always about 10.30 a.m. when they open up the Big Macs," he said. "I enjoy what I eat and it tastes good so I get the same thing every day."

So what's the secret behind his good health? Rosinlof said that he always makes it a point to consume below 2,000 calories a day. A Big Mac meal has 960 calories. So Rosinlof divides the remaining calories between his daily meals.

"A Big Mac meal is 930 calories. Two of them is 1,860 so I'm still under 2,000 calories a day even when I eat twice a day, but I don't eat a whole lot more than that," he said. "I don't think I'm addicted to Big Macs but my body understands what's coming when it's coming and knows what it has to make to get to get rid of it. I think that might be one reason why Big Macs and I get along so well."

According to dietitian David Zinczenko, Rosinlof continues to remain thin and healthy because he remains within the daily recommended calorie intake.
