The Following Season 2 Spoilers: Recap of New Cast Members; Alums from 'Homeland' and 'The Good Wife'

There’s been a lot of news concerning which cast members are coming to “The Following” in Season 2. So, to help you keep up here’s a recap of the new cast members for the sophomore season:

Jessica Stroup—Max Hardy

The “90210” alum is going to play the role of Ryan (Kevin Bacon’s) niece, a New York City police officer. She’s apart of the intel division and will aid Ryan next season. Max is expected to butt heads with Mike Weston (Shawn Ashmore). However, their relationship may eventually become more romantic.

Tiffany Boone—Mandy

Boone, known for her roles as Savannah Snow in “Beautiful Creatures”, will play the role of Mandy, a follower of Joe Carroll who didn’t really have a choice in the matter.

James McDaniel—Agent Ken Phillips

The “NYPD Blue” actor will play Ken Phillips, an FBI agent who is likely replacing the role of Deb Parker (Annie Parrise) who died last season.

Sam Underwood—Luke

Underwood, who played the role of Dexter’s protégé “ Zach Hamilton, will play Luke, a possible follower of Joe Carroll. Underwood will also appear in “Homeland” as Dana’s (Morgan Saylor) troubled friend Leo Carras.

Connie Nielsen—Lily Gray

Nielsen, known for her role as Lucia “Gladiator,” will play a Soho art dealer who becomes a love interest for Ryan.

Valerie Cruz–NYPD Detective Gina Mendez

Cruz, who played Mayor Joy Mendez on “Homeland,” is Gina Mendez, an NYPD detective who helps Weston investigate a series of murders in New York Citiy.

Carrie Preston—Joe Carroll groupie

Elsbeth from “The Good Wife” and Arlene from “True Blood” will play one of Joe Carroll’s disciples. Preston also appeared in “Person of Interest” with her husband Michael Emerson (main character Harold Finch) as Grace Hendricks.

“The Following” returns to FOX in early 2014.
