Thai police issued two more arrest warrants on Monday for suspects in the Bangkok bombing that took place two weeks ago, reported Yahoo News. The suspects are 26-year-old Wanna Suansun, who is believed to be in Turkey, and a second unnamed man.
Prawuth Thavornsiri, a national police spokesperson, stated that there is a high likelihood that the two suspects are a part of the group that set up the Aug. 17 bombing at the Erawab Shrine in central Bangkok, which killed 20 people, reported CNN.
Images of the two suspects were made public on Monday afternoon following a raid on their residence this weekend, which led to the discovery of bomb-making materials.
Following the arrest warrant, police spoke with Wanna's family, who told them she was living overseas, reported Reuters.
"They said Wanna lives in Turkey with her Turkish partner and her child. She has not contacted them for a while," said deputy provincial police chief Taracha Thompat.
Turkish police Col. Saharat Saksilapachai spoke with Wanna, who has denied all allegations against her, and said that he believes she would willingly return to Thailand to answer any questions that authorities have.
Police have been under fire for their erratic and ineffective investigative techniques thus far, which revealed nothing about the case until this weekend. To date, no group has claimed responsibility for the bombings.
