Under the Dome Season Finale Preview: The Lights go Out; Will Junior Join His Father's Evil Plan?

Tonight’s the night we finally get some answers “Under the Dome”.

Last episode we were left with Barbie (Mike Vogel) on trial, the mini-dome going nuts and Big Jim treating the town like a crazy tribe.

In the promo for the season finale, “Curtains”—things get a bit weirder.

Barbie is lined up to be hung, yes hung. I’m really hoping he makes it to next summer.

More importantly, the dome is now pitch-black. The good news there is that now peeping-tom’s can’t look in. The bad news? The dome is pitch-black—and no one really knows why.

A “Curtains” preview was posted on the CBS website, showing a conversation between Big Jim (Dean Norris) and Junior (Alex Koch). Big Jim is trying to convince his son that his mother’s drawing long ago was a sign for him and his father to rule the town. (Let’s hope Junior is smart enough not to fall for this nonsense his father is spewing.)

Tonight’s episode will end the first season of this summer’s No. 1 show. As it comes to a close we’re at least wishing for some sort of big reveal—and according to Norris we’re going to get one.

“You’re going to learn a lot about the Dome,” Norris recently told TVLine about the season finale. “It’s all very satisfying and it will make you go, ‘Oh, wow. OK, how are they going to play that out in Season 2?’ It sets up for a great second season.”

Norris added that the finale ends different from the book.

The season finale of “Under the Dome” airs tonight, 10/9c on CBS.
