The 2015 MTV Video Music Awards were anything but boring. From Miley Cyrus and Nicki Minaj's feud to Kanye West announcing his 2020 campaign for President of the United States, a lot of things happened during Sunday night's show. Last night, "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" host Jimmy Kimmel helped viewers sort out any confusion they might have regarding the VMAs. He walked over to his "Wall of America" to simplify all of the drama with some help from emojis, a small image or icon used to express an emotion.
First, Kimmel explained the Cyrus vs. Minaj feud. Last week, before the VMAs aired, host Cyrus gave an interview to the New York Times in which she called Minaj "not too kind" and "not very polite." During Minaj's acceptance speech for Best Hip-Hop Video at the awards show, Minaj called Cyrus out for her comments in the press.
"And now, back to this b---h that had a lot to say about me in the press. Miley, what's good?," said Minaj, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Cyrus was caught off guard by the rapper's comments. "We're all in this industry. We all do interviews. We all know how they manipulate. Nicki, congratulations," said Cyrus.
The next big moment that everyone was talking about that Kimmel tackled was West's apparent announcement for the 2020 presidential election. "As you probably could've guessed by this moment, I have decided, in 2020, to run for president," West ended his thank you speech for the Video Vanguard Award, according to USA Today.
"Then Kanye announced he was running for president, and then the world ended," joked Kimmel.
