Swansea tries to break out of its six-game Premier League losing streak at home, NBC Sports reports. The squad's chances to snap the streak on Monday against Liverpool, however, aren't great - Liverpool, winners of three straight this season, is 16-8-7 against Swansea.
"We haven't always been at our best throughout the 90 minutes of games this season but we certainly have resilience and a way to win games," Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers said, via NBC Sports. "In this league, it is so tough, you need that. We're not worried. Our perception is what we think about ourselves. Football is very much about opinion. All we try to do here is work well, work honestly and work hard."
Swansea does enter Monday's match on the heels of a 2-0 win over West Brom, a rebound after dropping their first two games of the season. It's also another match for Swansea against its former manager, Rodgers, whose Liverpool squad last February dealt Swansea a 5-0 loss.
The possible availability on Monday of Liverpool's Daniel Sturridge, who recently missed a game for England because of injury, has drawn attention of many - including Swansea manager Michael Laudrup.
"Everyone is talking about England needing its young players and the importance of the game," said Laudrup, via NBC Sports. "I am sure he would have played the other day in a crucial game but he didn't as he was injured. But just 48 hours later and he is already fit to play against us.
"I was a little surprised about that. I thought there were some rules that if you were injured you couldn't play for your team three or four days later."
Kolo Toure is still unavailable for Liverpool; Neil Taylor is out for Swansea.
