Tottenham NEWS: Young Wing Back DeAndre Yedlin Loaned To Sunderland From Spurs

DeAndre Yedlin is on the move once again.

The former Seattle Sounders defender finds himself heading to Sunderland on loan from Tottenham, according to MLSSoccer.com. After failing to produce in the limited minutes given at Spurs, Yedlin agreed to move on loan to Sunderland.

"I've heard fantastic things about Sunderland and the supporters from Claudio Reyna and Jozy Altidore. Claudio speaks very highly of Dick Advocaat from his time at Rangers" Yedlin told Sunderland's official website.

After an impressive 2014 World Cup run, Yedlin did all he could to turn heads around the International Soccer World. Unfortunately, he was only able to manage two substitute appearances for Spurs, according to ESPN FC.

Fans of U.S. Soccer will remember that Jozy Altidore spent time with Sunderland before moving to Toronto FC in MLS.

Yedlin joins a Sunderland squad that is last in the Premier League after four games, yet the club made multiple moves during transfer season and looks to rebound. The odds of Yedlin securing more playing time for the Black Cats is likely and fans of Yedlin hope he can make a positive impact and carry his experiences over to the U.S. National Team.
