She's only two months old, but already North "Nori" West, daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, is becoming one of America's most popular babies, even making best friends with a fellow Kardashian clan cousin amid her parent's current scandals, People magazine reports.
Kourtney Kardashian's 14-month old daughter, Penelope Disick, is really taking to little Nori, and the two have become fast friends. At the Los Angeles premiere of "Thomas & Friends: King of the Railway" on Sunday, Kourtney told People that "Whenever [Penelope] sees [North West] and, you know, the second she walks into the room, Penelope gets so excited."
"We never really had cousins that were close in age, so I'm excited," she gushed to the magazine. Kourtney is also mom to 3-year old son Mason, who is reportedly less excited than his sister about the new baby, and in Kourtney's words, "still adjusting" to cousin Nori.
"I think he gets a little jealous because he and Kim were so close and so he doesn't understand because he's not the big center of attention," Kourtney said. "I don't think [Kim] knows what to do; she's just like 'You don't like me anymore?'. She feels like he...is getting older and changing, and I think she gets confused and doesn't know how to handle it. He's like, 'Why don't you like me anymore?' cause he sees her with the baby."
Of course, little Mason gets plenty of attention already, making it all a bit baffling for Kourtney. Luckily, he has no shortage of family members to keep him company, even though baby Nori may currently the center of attention. As of now, she's living with her mom and dad at Kris Jenner's mansion in Calabasas, Calif. while their own $11 million private estate finishes undergoing renovations. The famous couple were recently photographed overseeing renovations to their mansion at the gated Bel Air community, which will surely include a lavish nursey for Nori.
Things may be getting a bit more complicated for the family soon, however, as Kanye West is currently being charged with one count of battery and one count of grand theft for his paparazzi altercation at LAX on July 19, according to NBC News. A video shows the rapper grabbing photographer Daniel Ramos, the same paparazzo involved in Britney Spear's famous umbrella attack, before forcing him to the ground. West's arraignment is scheduled for Oct. 10, and he faces a maximum sentence of one year behind bars.
As for Kim, things seem to be going a bit more smoothly, though the 32-year old mom recently split from her longtime publicist, the Huffington Post reports, in the wake of Lamar Odom's drug scandal and threats to spill alleged Kardashian family secrets to the media.
