"Gone Girl" has found its mistress. According to The Wrap, Emily Ratajkowski will land the part of Andie, the college student who has an affair with Nick Dunne (Ben Affleck) while his wife is missing and presumed dead. It hasn't been confirmed just yet but sources close the movie told the website that she is close to signing on to play the student.
Ratajkowski is best known for appearing in Robin Thicke's music video for "Blurred Lines." She started modeling at the age of 14 and "shot to stardom" after appearing topless in the controversial video. She doesn't have any significant acting skills under her belt but has appeared on Fox's "New Girl" and Nickelodeon's "iCarly."
She is expected to join Ben Affleck (Nick Dunne), Rosamund Pike (Any Dunne), Tyler Perry (Tanner Bolt who represents Nick) and Kim Dickens and Patrick Fugit, who will play detectives on the case.
It has been rumored that Neil Patrick Harris will play Amy's weird and creepy boyfriend Desi Collings. The movie will be directed by David Fincher for 20th Century Fox and New Regency. A release date has not been revealed yet but production for the move is scheduled to begin in the fall.
For those not familiar with the book, "Gone Girl" focuses on the troubled and odd relationship of Nick and Amy Dunne. Nick, was a successful magazine journalist who lost his job in the recession and made the decision to move back to his hometown despite his wife's' hesitation. Not long after they moved Amy ends up missing and Nick is believed to be the main suspect.
The book has gotten rave reviews and was featured on the New York Times Best Sellers list.
