Jessa (Duggar) Seewald sided with her in-laws after her brother Josh Duggar's Ashley Madison cheating scandal was revealed, Us Weekly reported. She tweeted a link to her father-in-law Michael Seewald's blog post that addressed Duggar's cheating scandal, in which he bashed her brother for being a "hypocrite" and a "pretender."
"Go to https://seewalds.com and read the post on the Ashley Madison scandal," Jessa tweeted to her 178,000 followers on Twitter, along with the link to Michael's blog post titled "Grief, Shame, and Taking the Lord's Name in Vain." Identical posts were also shared to Jessa's Instagram and Facebook accounts.
Michael spoke out against Duggar in the blog post after it was revealed that he had an account on the cheating website Ashley Madison, HNGN previously reported. Duggar admitted to cheating on his wife Anna while she was pregnant with the couple's fourth child. He also admitted to a porn addiction and recently checked in to a Christian rehab center, as previously reported by HNGN.
"It distresses me to say that Josh Duggar's greatest sin is a byproduct of the sum total of his secretly sinful lifestyle. That is, that by his hypocrisy, he blasphemed the name of God," Michael wrote.
Michael also mentioned Duggar's previous scandal, where he also admitted to molesting his younger sisters, Jill Dillard (née Duggar) and Jessa. Michael said he believed that Duggar was a changed man after his sex abuse scandal broke.
"Sadly, he had deceived us all," Michael wrote. "The name of God has been blasphemed and God is jealous for his name. To the person reading this, I want to caution you. Josh was a pretender."
Jessa and Ben Seewald tied the knot in November last year, and their wedding was aired in a special episode of the Duggar's former reality TV show, TLC's "19 Kids and Counting." The couple is currently expecting its first child together this November.
