Tim Tebow Rumors UPDATE: Jaguars Rally Fails, Tebow Fans Compare Themselves To ‘Cockroaches’ & Vow To Assemble Every Week (VIDEO)

The "Jags-Tebow Why Not?" rally in Jacksonville failed to convince the Jaguars front office to sign Tim Tebow. Comparing themselves to cockroaches, the undeterred Tim Tebow rally organizers now plan to assemble every Monday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Everbank Field parking lot.

The rally on Monday was underwhelming. Excluding the slew of media, the rally attracted approximately 100 Tebow devotees, according to the organizers' official website. Although it was a relatively small turnout, the organizers were encouraged by the showing and now intend to hold a weekly rally outside the Jaguars stadium.

Per the rally organizers' website:

"This is to announce that we will rally each Monday at Everbank from 5PM to 7PM. The rally on Sept 16th was a start. In all there were approx 100 supporters. The Jags reported attendance for this event therefore was 24,100. The rally allowed our 'Jags Tebow Why Not?' Organizers to meet & begin to co-ordinate the effort. The tailgate event was a more of a relaxed cook out.

"But let there be no mistake. We are like cockroaches in that for each one that you see there are 50 you don't see. We have hundreds of volunteers yet to be deployed as organizers were overwhelmed with calls, text and emails.

"Come out & show the Jags front office we want Tebow!"

Already 0-2 on the season and under the pretense of having nothing to lose, the rally has one goal: "...Mobilizing the City of Jacksonville to shame the Jaguars into getting Tebow."

Although the Jaguars front office already dismissed any notion of signing Tebow, the rally organizers believe plastering the city with Tebow signs will sway the team's management in to giving their beloved quarterback a shot.

For a taste of the Jags-Tebow campaign, watch below:

The Jacksonville fans have a point. Tebow is a leader, and he's unlikely to do any worse under center than Jaguars quarterbacks Blaine Gabbert and Chad Henne.

After beginning the season 0-2, the Jaguars would at least see a boost in ticket sales by signing a fan favorite. Even if Tebow never wins a game, he at least helps the team's rebuilding process by nabbing a higher draft pick for next April.

Jaguars officials haven't yet commented on the rally.
