Goodbye Boston sports talk show, hello unemployment.
For WEEI host Kirk Minihane, this may be the likeliest course of his career arc as a Boston radio personality after he made the undeniably idiotic and tactless decision to suggest - on air, of course - that New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft and his son Jonathan should "hire someone to murder" NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. Goodell, of course, has drawn the ire of the entire New England fanbase after the Deflategate scandal and the four-game suspension meted out to future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady (h/t to Bart Hubbuch of the New York Post).
Check out video of Minihane's comments below, made while appearing on Comcast Sportsnet New England:

"He's a rich guy," Minihane said of Kraft. "It's not that complicated."
Of course, Minihane may want to alter his approach now that Brady's four-game suspension has been vacated by U.S. Judge Richard Berman, but this story is still likely to land him in hot water, which is not a position he's unfamiliar with.
Minihane has, in the past, put himself in unfortunate PR situations by calling ESPN reporter Erin Andrews "a gutless b-tch" and suggesting that she would be a waitress "if she weighed 15 pounds more." After the Goodell comment, Minihane attempted to backtrack, likely realizing the inflammatory nature of what he'd said, but by then the damage was already done.
"I'm kidding," Minihane said. "I understand the NFL's power. I'm just joking."
Minihane was suspended a week for his comments on Andrews. It will be interesting to see what happens to him now.
