Counterterror officials in London arrested two men on suspicious of terrorism overseas on Tuesday, according to WRAL.
Both men, a 22-year-old and 29-year-old, are British citizens are were arrested yesterday by Kent police. They are currently being questioned at a London police station.
The counterterror officials detained the men in the Port of Dover and seized an unknown amount of ammunition. They believe the suspects arrived in the port after traveling from Calais, France. After their arrest, officials began searching a property in east London and two cars.
Authorities did not provide furher comment on the suspects and only said they were arrested for "being involved in the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism."
The suspects are being held under the U.K.'s Terrorism Law, which was adjusted in 2006 to add new offenses and ammend existing ones following the 2005 London bombings.
