Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck sparked reconciliation rumors when the estranged couple was spotted smiling while leaving a Los Angeles counseling clinic together, People reported. But sources say that Affleck and Garner's divorce is still ongoing despite the couple's united front.
"There is no reconciliation," a source told People. "They are working with a professional because there are emotions involved and they want to make this transition as easy as possible for their family."
Affleck and Garner were caught leaving a pediatrician's office in Los Angeles on Thursday, Entertainment Tonight reported. They were also spotted leaving a family counseling center that same day. They were smiling as they walked to their cars, but neither of them wore their wedding rings.
The couple announced their split in June, as previously reported by HNGN. Affleck and Garner were married for 10 years and share three children together, 9-year-old Violet, 6-year-old Seraphina and 3-year-old Samuel.
Their outing comes just one month after a scandal broke that accused Affleck of being romantically involved with his children's nanny, Christine Ouzounian, as previously reported by HNGN. Affleck's rep denied the rumors.
Despite the scandal, Affleck and Garner have made it a priority to keep their family united, Us Weekly reported. The family took a trip to Disney World with their three children for Affleck's birthday last month.
"[Garner's] priority is shielding the kids as much as possible," a source told Us Weekly. "She just wants to move forward and make everything happy and normal."
