The season one finale of ABC's "How to Get Away with Murder" surprisingly killed off suspected murderer Rebecca after it was revealed that she was innocent all along.
The last time viewers saw Annalise Keating, played by Viola Davis, she was with Rebecca's dead body along with Frank, which was unknown to her students. The creator and executive producer of "How to Get Away with Murder," Pete Norwalk recently sat down with Entertainment Weekly to spill some juicy details on the upcoming season.
The season starts as Annalise tries to keep her students from discovering that fact that Rebecca is dead. Annalise "will interact with someone from her past," Nowalk told EW. He also hinted at the fact that this upcoming season unearths more of her history as she faces the consequences of her season one actions.
Viewers also get to find out why Annalise and Bonnie have such a dysfunctional relationship. "We're going to find out more about how Bonnie and Annalise know each other," showrunner Nowalk said.
As for Rebecca's boyfriend, Wes Gibbins, he is much angrier in season two in the wake of Rebecca's disappearance. "Wes is in a much angrier, distrustful place. Is this because he killed her?" Norwalk asked the magazine.
"How to Get Away With Murder" returns at 10 p.m. ET on Thursday, Sept. 24 on ABC.
