"The honest to God answer is I just don't know," Joe Biden said. The comment is a response to the rumors swirling around him that he may run for President of the U.S. in 2016, according to CNN.
"If he gets into this race, there'll be plenty of time to get into the debate and the back and forth, but I think everyone should give him the space and respect he deserves to make what is a very difficult choice for him and his family," Hillary Clinton said. She was asked about Vice President Biden during a recent MSNBC interview with Andrea Mitchell, CNN reported.
Biden's son died earlier this year, and the VP has made it clear that his family will be the biggest factor in his presidential campaign.
"I will be straightforward with you. The most relevant factor in my decision is whether my family and I have the emotional energy to run," Biden said.
The Vice President was speaking in Atlanta on Thursday when he made his comments about the rumors that he's planning to campaign, according to MSN. Earlier this summer, Biden met with Democratic party bigwig Elizabeth Warren, fueling rumors that he's going to go toe-to-toe with current Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton.
Biden said he "would not hesitate" to run if his family supports the decision, according to Real Clear Politics. Biden previously ran for the office of president in 2008. He lost the Democratic primary to Barack Obama.
